Pre-Con Registration Customer Service Staff

Pre-Con Registration Customer Service staff are responsible for answering emailed questions from the public about Anime Boston registration, whether in general (rates, policies, etc.) or specific (e.g. determining a person's registration and payment status). Each individual staffer will be responsible for answering all incoming e-mails during assigned days of the week, as agreed upon in advance with the Registration Customer Service Manager. As a representative of our organization, exceptional written communication skills and diplomacy while fielding difficult questions are required.

While the Anime Boston website has extensive FAQ's that will assist with this position, prior knowledge of Anime Boston-specific policies regarding registration is extremely helpful; thus, this is not a position generally recommended for first-year Registration staffers. Pre-con staff are also responsible for forwarding any questions requiring Registration management/director attention, or any questions not meant for Registration, to the appropriate person(s).

Pre-Con Customer Service Staff are also required to assist at the Customer Service Booth during Anime Boston, but at a significantly reduced schedule due to their work pre-con.

As with all Registration staff, Pre-Con Registration Customer Service staff may be asked to assist with the routine operations of the Division, specifically:

As Pre-Con Registration Customer Service staff have access to confidential attendee records and responsibility for payments, an applicant's references and experience must recommend this trust. Experience in dealing with the public, as well as patience in answering questions, are required.

All staff members are also required to adhere to the Staff Guidelines.
